A Happy Parcel - Europe

For this swap you will be putting together a lovely little parcel for your partner. You MUST include:

  1. One full sized chocolate bar.
  2. A book or magazine (can be used).
  3. A written notecard to your partner
  4. A €2.50/£2 profile gift for your partner. This gift should be wrapped in pretty paper and tied with ribbon.

This is a profile based swap so make sure you read your partner's profile thoroughly and if you want to include anything else then go ahead. Just make sure you've covered everything on the list first!!

This swap is only for European swappers. If there is interest in an international version I will run another one.

At least 20 Type 3 swaps and a 5.00 rating.

Oohh... this is a great swap! Sadly I can't join, because I have done 10 type 3 swaps so far. :-( When I do have enough type 3 swaps I'm definitely going to join in hopefully a next one! :-) I wish you all lots of fun in this swap! :-)

The book or magazine, does it have to be in English? Or can I send a magazine in Dutch? :) I wouldn't send a book in Dutch if the receiver doesn't understand the language, but since a magazine in a strange language can be fun, I'm asking. :)

mirrymir 06/ 5/2013 #

Hi @Newberlin I agree a book in a language you don't understand might not be great although I quite like children's books in foreign languages. If possible wait until your partner is assigned and see what they would prefer - they might be Dutch speakers anyway! And I definitely think craft magazines for example are enjoyable in any language :)

I'd love to join this but I don't have enough type 3 swaps. :(

Such a great swap idea, I love it! If my partner chooses to send a magazine, I would be happy with whatever language as I think magazines in foreign languages are fun. But books should be in a language I can understand please (German, English, Italian)!

I will run an International version of this swap as well if anyone is interested in joining that as well! Thank you @washi @Schr ƒÂ¶dingersCat and @eskyris for liking my swap idea xxx

I'd also like to get a magazine/book in a language I understand, if possible (English, Croatian, Russian, Slovenian, Czech, Slovak, French or of course Polish) or in Danish, for my friend :)

Mh... won't the chocolate bar melt in July?

mirrymir 06/18/2013 #

Hi @doradora - I see you are from beautiful Italy so I imagine you're having a lovely hot summer, unfortunately in my part of the world the temperature rarely rises to temperatures which melt chocolate :( If you are coming from, or sending to, nice warm climates and still want to participate then maybe ask your partner if he/she would still like a full sized bar of chocolate or if, due to temperature, they would like a different snack food - a bag of sweets, biscuits? Alternatively you could wrap the chocolate up very well and tell your partner to refridgerate when it arrives then hope for the best. I have had chocolate that melted in the packet and then rehardened and it was still okay :) hope that helps xx

Wow this sounds really good. It's a shame I don't have enough swaps done for this... Will it be on again? I'd really like to join when I have enough.

viza 06/22/2013 #

It's too hot now in my country for chocolate in the parcel:) I'll be happy to recieve cross stitch magazine or book in Einglish. I'll be very happy to get Alice in Wonderland or another children's book. Thank you!

Sternenfee 06/22/2013 #

Great idea. I'd really like to get magazines (crafts or sports preferred) in whatever language...I love languages so it's a challenge. Books in English, Italian, French, Spanish, German...maybe also Dutch or Swedish are fine. About chocolate...well...good point...weather changes here from hot to cold so of course it could be a risk...

Have fun everyone and don't forget to wrap up the profile surprise beautifully :) I will be hosting similar swaps so keep an eye out xxx
