Do you love YA (Young Adult) literature? Would you like some ideas of what to read next? Then this swap is for you! Each participant will have TWO partners to whom you will send an email listing FIVE of your favourite Young Adult novels, and a short explanation of why you enjoyed them. (You can send the same list to both partners, or a different list to each.) YA can be hard to define but generally any book aimed at teenagers that deals with real life, often 'difficult' themes; dystopian / fantasy settings; first love; or coming of age stories fits the bill. The Hunger Games shot YA to the forefront of book shops but there are so many other fantastic Young Adult books out there. You can find a useful but far from exhaustive list of YA writers here. (Please try to vary your recommendations if you can- if you're really into vampire novels that's cool, but your partner might be only into 'real life' themes so try to mix it up a bit :o)) Any questions or problems, just ask! I LOVE this idea, I still love YA books even though I'm decades past the target age. I will join when it gets closer to the signup deadline.

One question: might it be possible to have more than one partner, since it's an e-swap? I'd love to be able to share my list with maybe 3-5 people, and get theirs in return. Just a thought :)

@fruitbat5150 Multiple partners is a great idea! I've changed it to two partners - I'm fairly new to hosting so don't want to make it too complicated!

I too am way over the target age for YA but it's by far my favourite genre :o)

Thanks for making it more than 1 partner. I'm with Soy princesa in that I wouldn't mind 3 or 4, or even 5 partners, but I understand sometimes that can get overwhelming.

I love this idea, I want to write YA fiction, so I read a LOT of it.
