@pennydog gave me permission to host a USA only version of this swap :)

Got a drawer full to the brim of scraps you're bored with? Swap anything 2 1/2" square or bigger, anything goes!

Get out your kitchen scale and send your partner a baggie filled quilting scraps weighing ~3oz (This is the maximum weight to send for $2.07 first class parcel). This is senders choice, so you can assemble your scrap bag now. When partners are assigned, pop in a little note, address the envelope and send it on its way :)

  • Scraps should be no smaller than 2.5 inches square

  • Only 100% quilting cotton, no flannels please

  • Try to send mostly printed fabrics, keep solids to a minimum

  • send high quality fabrics that you would be happy to receive in return

Newbies are welcome with a well filled out profile. No recent unexplained 1's or 3's. I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason.

I just want to check. Is taste being taken into consideration with the scraps we send, or anything that fits the physical requirements? The reason I ask is that I have fabric I do not prefer, but someone else may that is going into my swap. I just want to make sure that is okay.

Hi @foofaraw the swap is senders choice so you can send whatever you want as long as its 100% quilters cotton (no flannel) and 2.5"sqare or larger :) It never hurts to take a look at your partners profile though it might earn you a heart!

Does anyone plan to send a little extra?...Just in case the scale is off? I don't want to short anyone or am i just being overly paranoid?

I am looking forward to tho, and I know who ever gets me for their swap partner is going to be happy I know I will be going over the 3oz as I have 4 bins full of scraps both quilters cotton and home dec fabric..... yay to be getting rid of scraps. I can't throw them away but I am happy to swap them away!

@swtleaf1984 I went with the 3oz weight because to keep the postage down because I know some swappers are on a budget. Feel free to send as much as you'd like to your partner, but the requirement is 3oz. so it can be sent for $2.07 :)
