I just finished watching the Wizard of OZ for the 100th time. I love that movie and every time I watch it it gets better and better. I have not hosted a Series Swap before so that I would give it a try! I am sure these have been done before but I missed it!!!! For this series we will create the Wizard of OZ set of Dotees. Dorothy, Lion, Scarecrow. Tinman, and the Wicked Witch. Perhaps Glinda or the Wizard if interest continues. If there are other favourite Characters please let me know and I can add those as well. I will do these monthly as long as there is interest. Please PM or post in the comments if you want additional characters added. The second Dotee in this Swap was the Scarecrow. Now is time to Create the Cowardly Lion! Not to worry if you miss one when the series is complete I will do a receivers choice! 1 Cowardly Lion Dotee 1 Partner International NO Drama NO FLAKERS! If I may ask what is a dotee and where can I see a picture of one? I have only heard of these don't really know much about them.

They are sweet little dolls that are VERY addictive to make! There is youtube "how to" (yawn) but I learned by googling them and looking at the photos.

A dotee is a 3-6 inch doll with a hanger and tail (usually made with beads) Most do not have arms or legs and always a face of some kind, The rest is completely up to your imagination.

I have never made a dotee doll and had never heard of them until yesterday. Then as I was debated if it was something I wanted to do. I saw the Wizard of Oz swap. It must be fate or karma because that is my favorite movie. :)

I am seriously thinking about joining this. It's been about 2 years since I made a dotee so wouldn't mind getting back into making these cute 'lil' dolls again:)))

@kiddo47 YES, the flying monkeys are the best (creepy as sin!). If it's a separate dotee I won't have to try and incorporate it into my witch (that will make things easier).

@kitterslady - normally I would say yes as I believe newbies need opportunities to join and build ratings HOWEVER I have been flaked on 4 times for dotees in the last few months - so as much as I hate to say it - not for this series. I have a group called Dotee Divas. If you or any other newbie reading this you are welcome to join and perhaps you can do some of those swaps. Hope you understand.
