Description:

The November 2012 Fandom in a Bag swap is the Hunger Games fandom.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, seasons, districts, moments, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 7 different items although more is certainly encouraged (try to make it look full).

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, charms, ornaments, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fainfic, zines, etc.

More specific ideas: Hunger Games survival kit, a little package with a white parachute, a mockingjay pin, a white rose, a charm bracelet with charms representing each district, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 gallon (measures about 10 inches by 11 inches or 28cm by 26.5 cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a gallon in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of November and please send by the deadline (December 1).

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be sent straight into the arena.

I have a lot of favourite characters for this fandom... Katniss, Cinna Gale, Peeta, Rue, Finnick & Annie. And in the movies I love Haymitch and Seneca Crane. My favourite districts are 13, 11, and the Capitol (but I really like all of them together and how they have different symbols, etc.)

I love: Katniss, Gale, Peeta, Rue, Finnick (LOVE FINNICK!!!!), Annie, Prim, Buttercup the cat, and Haymitch (I love how he falls to pieces but still manages to help out... and I love his vulnerability). In the movie, I ADORE Cinna. The movie was great, but Cinna totally made it for me. The first book is my favorite--I love it. I really like the arena settings (so I wasn't so fond of the third book). I really like the world overall--all the districts and the Capitol. Somehow, I've lost my Katniss ATC, so I'd love an ATC of her to put in the empty slot in my ATC binder.

I love the areas too! I think that's what I missed most in the third book.

This is mostly for my 11 year old daughter. She loves Clove and Katniss. Totally into bow and arrows. I will post more after I talk with her though.

My favorite characters are Katniss, Finnick, Rue, Thresh, Effie, Cinna (LOVE HIM!) and Annie. I love the fashions of the Capitol. My favorite moments are in the 75th Hunger Games when they are in the clock. I'd like pretty much anything related to the Hunger Games. I collect ATCs, chunky pages, and clay charms. I made myself a Katniss one so any other characters would be great.

I was getting ready to join and it closed! bummer

KateKintail 10/31/2012 #

@doulakk Oh, I'm sorry! Is it closed already? It doesn't show up as closed yet for me. Maybe you'll want to join the December swap where you can list any of your favorite fandoms (works as a make-up swap of sorts)

My favorite characters are Finnick, Katnis, Peeta, Gale, Buttercup, Haymitch, Boggs, Effie, Cinna.... maybe I just like all the characters :) I'm open to anything you want to make me!

winkipinki 11/ 1/2012 #

Katniss, Clove, District 2 and 12, Thresh, Rue, Gale, Foxface, Effie and Glimmer.

Yay! I made it into this swap after all!
My fav characters are in the book and so far, in the movie are Katniss & Primrose & Cinna.

have read all the books and love them all! When my son was 17, he told me that I should read them and then could not put them down. That was right before Mockingjay came out and we could not wait to read it!

I wouldn't mind stuff from ANY district an I love all the items mentioned in the description: ATC's, earrings, stickers, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, trading cards, charms, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, & promo stills/autograph cards, so feel free to choose from any!!! I love pretty much everything! ;)

Sorry this is so long, but I AM very excited about this swap!

My favorites are Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Haymitch, Finnick, Rue & the ever fabulous Cinna!

Favorite Moments: Katniss & Peeta together. Cinna & Katniss discussions. Katniss standing up for herself.

I'd like a Hunger Games Survival kit, stickers, stuffies, patches, keychain, anything thoughtful & crafty OUTSIDE of the ATC box!!! Something I can possibly wear - cause I like to wear my art! :)

Favorites… I love Cinna, Finnick and Annie, Haymitch, Prim, Rue, Peeta, Madge. Effie is hilarious. I don’t exactly like Katniss’ mom, but I find her interesting. There’s probably more I’m forgetting! Not a huge fan of Gale. I love how detailed the world of Panem is. I love the books and the movies, no preference there! I wasn’t as crazy about the third book as about the other two. So here’s a weird one. I don’t like Katniss! I find the idea of volunteering as a tribute fascinating--not like Katniss did, but just imagining what growing up in one of those districts would be like.

All of that being said, though, I love The Hunger Games. It makes me cry (in the good way… ish…). And I’m sure I’ll love whatever you send.
