Writing Prompt: What Moment in life has made you M

As part of a writing/zine class the students of our class are asking people: "What Moments in Life has made you Mature?"

Our students have down interviews and written personal essays and comics based on this topic and we'd love to hear from our friends on swap-bot.

Please respond to this question in however many words it will take you to explain a story or event that made you mature. Many of the students talk about being given responsibility. Some talked about how deaths of family and pets made them grow up. Our class and your e-mail partners are looking forward to what you have to say!
