Description:

For this swap you will have one partner and you must go on a haunted hunt for items that fulfill the categories below. Listed are 12 options and you must choose 6 options to send to your partner. Each item must be Halloween-themed. Options are:

  • something ghostly

  • something sinister

  • something spidery

  • something tombstone

  • something vampire

  • something black & orange

  • something pumpkin or jack-o-lantern

  • something witchy

  • something charming

  • something batty

  • something owlish

  • something sender's choice

You must choose six DIFFERENT categories and send one item for each category selected. You may repeat items twice; for instance if you send owl stickers, you may also send witch stickers, but you may NOT send stickers for your other 4 items. The only exception to this rule is edibles. If you choose to send an edible, you may send ONLY ONE EDIBLE item and that item must be wrapped.

Along with items sent, you must send a list detailing which items sent fulfill which categories.

Some suggestions for items are: pens, pencils, stickers, die-cuts, cards, postcards, decorations, recipes, ATC's, tea, candy, charms, and lots more. Endless possibilities.

I'm leaving plenty of time between sign-up and send, so you can get your items together as you find them without rushing or spending a lot of money.

You must have a minimum 4.85 rating and be rated for 10 Type 2/Type 3 swaps in order to participate.

I'd love to join. Any chance this swap can be international please?

isabellasnow 09/15/2012 #

Hi@tiaragoth...there is a similar swap that is international. I think it is listed as a scavenger hunt. I created this one specifically for U.S. because international postage is a worm.

Is there a spending limit or recommendation?

I am trying to host a fun swap without it being a costly swap. That said, I would hope partners would choose to send six NICE items (usable). As a sender, I am targeting spending around $5. That allows me to send some things I may have (for example, stickers, postcards, or notecards) and also purchase something small for some of the categories. Since I did not give a dollar guideline when beginning the swap, I won't change it now since folks have already signed up, but please send something you would be pleased to receive! Do unto others...... and all that.
