Description:

This will be a fun and creative swap!

This will be for 1 yard (you may send more if you wish) to 1 partner of hand stamped Halloween themed ribbon with a tag.

I use muslin for my ribbon, it's fairly inexpensive, and takes a stamp well. I begin by making a small cut in the fabric then I rip it starting from where the cut was made. Ribbon should be about 2-3 inches wide to allow for stamping a decent sized image. If you have other fabrics that would work well as ribbon that you can stamp please feel free to use them. I also stain or tint my ribbon depending on the style I am wanting to create. Then I stamp it! Easy!

Be sure to use some kind of permanent ink for your stamps so they will not rub off or fade out. I use Staz-On, it says "not recommended for fabrics" but since you don't wash ribbon in the washing machine (or at least I don't) it has always worked well for this project. Ranger has a line of permanent inks as well and I am sure there are others.

After your ribbon is made, take a large tag (approx. 6 x 3 inches) and decorate it with a Halloween theme as well! It can be a little smaller though just make sure it is large enough to wrap your ribbon around it and still have some tag showing at the top and bottom. Ink it, use specialty paper, stamp it too if you like! I wouldn't recommend a lot of embellishments as you are wrapping your ribbon on it. Just make it pretty and top it off with some nice ribbon or twine.

I hope this is easy to understand, the end result should look something similar to the swap picture only with your on creative spin on it! These ribbons are great for Halloween gift giving and decorations.

If you have any questions please leave a comment below or pm me I will be happy to answer them. Also, please have a 4.9 rating or higher, with no unexplained 1's. I will angel if needed but then will have to haunt you...

Happy Halloween and Happy Swapping!
