Description:

This is the International version of the swap organized by punkydoodle in the USA: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/127725. Thanks Crystal for letting me use your idea!

In this swap you will have your very own personal shopper and you will act as a personal shopper for your partner. Search your local thrift store or outlet for a clothing item to fit your partner's personality and style. Items should, of course, be clean with no stains or holes. Everyone should leave their sizes and style preferences below in a comment as a guide for their swap partner to shop by. Please don't ask for a specific item, but give a broad idea of what you like.

Your package should contain:

  • One clothing item (eg. blouse, dress, etc),

  • One card (store-bought or handmade, your choice) with a short (or long) note to your partner, explaining where the clothing comes from and why you think it will fit her well.

Please, no shoes and no underwear, for sanitary reasons.

This is an opportunity to act as a real personal shopper. Please take some time to think about what will look great on your partner (you can even PM her and ask for a picture if that's helpful), and then to look for a nice item. Don't spend a fortune either, let's keep this reasonable. It will be fun to go browsing in your local thrift shop or look for a great bargain in an end-of-season sale at the outlet! You'll have 3 long weeks between Partner Assignment and the send-by date.

You'll have one partner for this swap. You must have a rating of 4.95 to participate, no newbies please.

I'm a European size 38 for tops and blouses, size 40 for dresses, pants and skirts. That would be roughly a US size 6/8, UK size 8/10. "Medium" size will fit me just fine.

I'm a classic girl in her late-30s. I need to dress up in a conservative way at work (like a a dark pant suit with a feminine blouse or a little black dress), and prefer confortable & stylish cloths at home (like jeans and a nice top or a cotton dress) since I have both a 1-year old baby and a DH who's picky about his DW's appearance ;)

I wear black, white, all shades of grey and brown, all shades of blue, coral and light yellow. I'm not a fan a neon colors and bright pink doesn't suit me.

When shopping for myself, I find it very hard to step out of my confort zone, so please don't be afraid to surprise me: I really need new ideas about what to wear! :)

SIZE (i usualy wear clothes that are at least a little "strechy" and bigger): i'm a size EU 42 or L/XL and prefer longer then shorter (since i'm not exactly "model material")

COLOR: i prefer to wear darker colors like black, brown, blue/violet/green but still i wear most colors when combined (black+white, black+orange, black+red, brow+red etc). I don't wear only bright like yellow, pink (there can be a few spots of it but not the hole thing like a yellow skirt).

STYLE: clasic(formal)-rock/goth MY FAVOURITE OUTFIT (to get the general idea of what i wear): a pair of jeans (comfortable) with a black-riped shirt (rock) and a formal tux jacket (clasic-formal)

Wish I could sign up for this. I will have to Watch and see if another one comes up when I have done some swaps.

Size: I wear 4x tops and 24 pants. I like red and love bright colors. Tye died is my fav. I lean toward more fall colors, tan, dark orange and love holiday stuff. I hate blue and love jeans or capris and tshirts.
