DECO Swap Round #2 (International)

Hello Folks and WELCOME to round #2 of My Deco Swap Series!

ABOUT THIS SWAP SERIES

If you were in round #1 you may use the Deco you received in the last round.

If you are new to the swap, please create a brand new deco or fill in and pass on a deco you have on hand (it must be NICE & NEAT).

THIS SWAPS THEME

For this swap you will create a page or cover, based on the theme -- "My Inspiration!" (this is open to everyone painters, scrap bookers, doodlers, etc.)

Who or What inspires you?

What are DECOs???

A deco is similar to a friendship book and there are a wide variety of types. It is a bound book of pages which are sent around the world. The person that the book is “for” is usually listed on the cover and when the book becomes full it is sent back to them.

EACH PERSON that receives and signs the deco will decorate one page according to the theme of the booklet and put their postal/email address and sign their name.

Despite the artistic expressions used in these types of friendship books, the basic rules of passing the friendship book person to person is the same.

SO HERE ARE THE DEETS FOR THIS SWAP:

• You will pass on the deco you received in round #1 OR make 1 Deco to send to your partner OR use a NICE & NEAT Deco you have received through another swap. NOTE ON ANY DECO: The cover should be decorated with interesting materials like magazine pictures, rubber stamps, drawings, zentangles, decorative papers, embellishments, etc.

• FOR NEW DECOS: The front or back cover should include the name of this swap and your name. On the inside of the cover please include "Send to when full" and enter your full name, address (and email if you wish) -- you may want to type this part and paste it in.

• FOR NEW DECOS: You will fill the deco with atleast 6 blank pages - this is for your partner to decorate (one page) and future entrants (to decorate one page each).

DECO REQUIREMENTS:

• There is no required size but it is recommended to start with 5 X 5 which is not to small and big enough to decorate.

• Make sure it it is not to bulky, this will be traveling the world and we want to send these in FLAT ENVELOPES!!!!

• Your book should have 6 - 8 blank pages

• Your book should be nice and neat and show some creativity -- NO STICKER SLAPPING!!!

• No visible staples on the cover!

• You must laminate your cover - you can use clear packing tape to do this. This is important, because the idea is this book would travel all around the country or world and it must be able to withstand all of the shipping etc.

• Make sure to note on the back of the Deco page you create your NAME, SWAP-BOT ID, NAME OF THIS SWAP AND ANY CONTACT INFO YOU WOULD LIKE TO INCLUDE (address, email, pen pal notes, etc)

TO ENTER THIS SWAP - REQUIREMENTS:

• COMPLETELY filled out profiles a MUST! Fill out all the categories and it would be nice to add some of your own categories ;-) (If you have a very short/vague, profile there is a very high chance I will remove you from this swap!)

• No 1s or 3s in past 3 months

• Be an active member - must log on at least every two weeks

• You must have at least 10 total - type 2 or type 3 rated swaps - BY SIGN UP DEADLINE.

• If you cannot commit to this DO NOT enter the swap!!!!

PLEASE NOTE: I will be checking profiles and will delete anyone who does not meet the requirements!
