Description:

Do you love Postcrossing? Are you brand new and have never used Postcrossing before? Are you curious what Postcrossing is?

If you answered yes, this swap is for you!

In this swap you will be making a supply kit for your partner to use with their Postcrossing account .
Here's what it will include:

  • 10 postcards - These must be unused and good quality but can come from any variety of sources.
  • 2 pens - Please send pens that you wouldn't mind using yourself which means nothing expensive, just good quality.
  • 20-30 stickers - These can be a variety of stickers but they must be fairly small due to them having to fit on the postcard along with all the writing.
  • 2 extras - This may include any of the following but it must be 2 from this list:
a case to carry the supplies in
a package of correction tape or white out
a profile based surprise to use with Postcrossing
a box for the postcards (recipe boxes work if they have the right design)
a notebook to record your postcards sent such as spiral or composition or something along those lines
unused postage stamps if you are from the same country
    a rubber stamp
    small return address labels
something to display received postcards in
If you think of more to add to this list of extras, post below. I'm open to suggestions.

This is also the place to ask any questions at all that you might have about Postcrossing. Post in the comment section.

Please make sure this is kit is something you would love to receive. This type of swap was originally created by @wunderland and recommended for this group by @digitalmaven . Thank you to both of these swappers for this great idea.

More ideas:

  • a box for the postcards (recipe boxes work if they have the right design)
  • a spiral notebook to record your postcards sent

Thanks, I added those.

Christinap, This is a great idea for a swap, especially for those who are new to "Postcrossing" swap group. My penpals have asked me for a few items that are on your list: address labels with my name & address, writing pens, stickers, note pads ("House Mouse" has been the most popular requested to date,) stationary sets, etc. One penpal loves pictures of flowers she can use for making friendship books and deco books, yet her country doesn't have pictures of the lovely Redoute flowers. I purchased a desk tear-off sheets calendar of Redoute's flowers for her. Now, everyday, she can see the flowers, tear off the sheet & reuse the flower images to make the FB's & Deco Books. The Redoute's flowers desk calendars I found on Amazon.com.
The small spiral notebooks - I didn't like the covers, though I bought small sets from Walmart. Then I placed the notebooks on my drawing board, cut up images of Victorian ladies, flowers, butterflies, etc., & decorated the covers, made an accompanying bookmark and now they look right for swapping. I will do same with the little journal sets they also sell at Walmart.

Another 'extra' idea is something to use to display your received PCs.

Thanks @Whippet and @EmilyT for those suggestions:)

Does it have to be a spiral notebook or can it be any kind of notebook?

Christinap 08/ 8/2012 #

I'd say any notebook would be fine. I'll update that. Good point.

Thank you!! :o)
