Description:

It's time to get stitching and try our hands at making fabric postcards! It's ok if you have never made a fabric pc before - There's a link to a few tutorials below!

Let's start with just swapping with 1 partner! That should make this a bit less intimidating for those of us who have never made this style of pc. So this swap is for one handmade fabric postcard to your partner. You are not required to match your partner's profile for this swap so that you can start making your postcard as soon as you sign up for the swap. I am allowing 2 weeks for signups and then 2 weeks to get the pcs in the mail so this should be plenty of time to for beginners to make a nice cards.

Thanks to Adrienne for bringing up the idea trading fabric pcs and to FarStarr for posting the link to Deb Richardson's tutorial and getting me inspired!

EDIT: I was asked if Felt was acceptable as a fabric for this swap and think that would be fine - so if you want to use felt please do :)

Thanks for joining! I hope you have fun with the swap!

I did some playing last night with using super solvy to make my own fabric from scraps...what fun! I'm not sure if it'll hold up in the mail though so I might take a safer route with the postcard.

FarStarr, I have tried that --- I didn't use it for a postcard but was thinking that it would probably hold up if you "sealed" both sides of it.

Terry, I just made ATC's with my "created fabric" and just sealed the edges with my brandy-new fantastic machine.

FarStarr, are you going to post a pic on flickr?
