vintage illustration above by Jay van Everen Swap description: A Postcard from the EPO For this swap you will send each of your partners a naked (not in envelope) postcard, which has been handmade by you. The picture side of the postcard should reference a traditional fairy tale of your choice. This could be a single illustration of a specific scene, or a comic strip re-telling, or perhaps an 'advertising' postcard from a vendor offering services which are clearly utilised in a particular tale. (Please check out Sur La Lune if unsure what qualifies as a fairy tale. The site also includes a handy gallery of vintage fairy tale illustrations, potentially adaptable for your postcards!). You may use any medium to create your postcard: draw, paint, collage, embroider, digitally manipulate รขโฌโ all creative techniques are welcome (but sticker-slapping is not!). Professionally printed postcards (eg local printer, moo.com, VistaPrint etc) made up from your original design are also welcome. The reverse side of the postcard should be addressed to your partner with postage attached; and include a brief note from yourself about the story you have adapted/depicted. You can mention why you chose that particular story/image, or about the techniques you used, or anything else related to the swap or your chosen fairy tale. Swap requirements
