Description:

Who doesn't love stocking stuffers? Maybe you are like me and spend your holidays alone, or maybe it has been too lean to buy little goodies for yourself. But, here's a chance to brighten up the holidays. I like themes, so I'm taking the opportunity to host some theme swaps for stocking stuffers. You don't even have to wait for partners to be assigned. Plan ahead and buy now as long as it meets the theme of the swap - Senders Choice.

The Swap: The theme is "Sewing Basket". Your items should be used in connection with sewing - simple. For this swap you will have one partner to send three (3) wrapped stocking stuffers that a seamstress would use. Ideas include: mini scissors, pins, pincushion, quilters supplies, buttons, floss, threads, measuring tape, etc. Stocking not required. Since swappers might be in several stocking stuffers swaps you should tag as to who they are from. Each item should be valued at no less than $2 - more if you feel like it - just not less. Gifts can be handcrafted if they are well made.

Send on time. A swap sent late does not meet this requirement.

To send anything less than your best attempt to make your partner smile is not swapping to your full potential nor treating your partner right. Make your partner smile - it's the holidays!

I know it's difficult to rate something that will be opened later. You can do it one of two ways. You can wait to rate until after Christmas when you have opened the gifts. Or, you can rate your partner a 5 based on if they sent you three wrapped stocking stuffers. Then later, after opening the gifts, you can decide to go back if you feel the need to and write a comment clarifying your rating, or add a heart.

Reminder about rating: You can not rate based on if you liked the gifts, rate based on if they met the requirements or not. And as always, hearts are always optional and should never be expected.

Swapper requirements: Not a swap open to Newbies (less than 5 type 3 package, and rated for, buy the time of the swap). However, I might arrange a private swap for newbies if you convo me. Rated 4.9 or higher, participated in 10 package type swaps, and no 1's. I will check before assigning partners and ban anyone who has slipped in ratings or is posting on their profile that they will late in sending for any reason. I reserve the right to exclude anyone if I believe they will create problems for other swappers.

Please don't sign up if you know you don't meet the requirements.

This is a wonderful idea - as a single woman, who's adult children come on Boxing Day, I am usually alone for Christmas Day and no gifts to open, except what I bought myself. This year I will have gifts from my swap-bot friends - thank you so much for hosting this swap

I've recently started sewing again so my supplies are very limited. Anything would be appreciated - seam ripper, thread, elastic, notions, fat quarters - literally anything :0)

I've been sewing for years but it's not something that I do very often. I know it's senders choice just thought I would offer a few ideas of what I really could use. Velcro, Floss, Colored Threads, and for sure a Measuring Tape. But, anything is welcomed of course.
