Description:

Like it says - a deco swap themed around Halloween!

Details:

  • Make (at least) 3 halloween themed decos. They can all be for you, or you can make one for youself and the rest for any swap partners / friends / children etc. Please make sure at least one is for yourself, though. If you happen to have any excess (unthemed or different themed are OK) decos you can include them, however please do not send more than 5 books for this swap.

  • You will send all 3-5 decos to your assigned partner by OCT. 14th.

  • Please just make sure that your name and address or email address is clearly visible or on a label somewhere on the first page (front or back) of your deco so that it doesn't get lost on it's way home. Likewise, if you've made the deco for someone else, make sure any of their info is clearly visible on the first page.

  • Book sizes and number of blank pages are also up to you!

  • This is an INTERNATIONAL swap. If postage costs are a concern, please keep in mind that this swap is centered around making starter books, so make 3 smaller-sized books that fall under or around the weight of an airmail stamp.

Tips:

  • It's your choice as to which style of Halloween you would like to make ... from cute to creepy to downright horrifying. I would suggest checking your partner's profile FIRST in the event they are skeeved out by certain things (skulls, spiders, witches) that could be considered Halloween-y.

  • You can also make your decos even more specifically themed (i.e. zombies, horror movie monsters, color themed, candy themed, costumes, pick a monster page...) it's really up to you and your creativity is the limit.

Despite the stigma in some circles, please FEEL FREE to use staples to bind your books, and brads, tape, stickers etc. to decorate the covers (but please do not staple or stick brads through any established books' pages that's just rude.) If staple-bound books or taped pages irritate you, this may not be the swap for you. :)

... The photo shown is a Halloween themed deco book that I made recently for a friend. Please have fun making your decos with any kind of materials that you have or can find that fit the Halloween theme! Have fun! *
