House-Slytherin Favorite Class-Potions and DADA Pet-Bird Favorite Character- Severus or Albus Store/Shop- Borgin & Burkes, Slug & Jiggers Apothecary and Dark Arts establishments I figured I would give as much info as possible to make it fun and easy for my partner.

Online there are two versions of the the crests, the ones with the name banner on the bottom of the crest and the one with it on the middle of the crest, do we know which one is the right one?

Quick question, is it ok to include things of other colors if the house colors don't seem to be my partner's faves? Like cute pumpkins or something that pertains to the swap but is not necessarily house-colored? Maybe I can keep it to mostly the house colors?

@hollycopter I think it is a matter of personal preference, I personally like the one with the banner in the middle. (Make the bird look more like an eagle and less like a raven.)

@blufairy19 As long as the main colors that are included are the house colors. Random extra colors won't upset the theme as long as they are used sparingly.

Concept question... many whimsey jars are just for display purposes. But I assume that by having one of the requirements be "something wearable" you want at least some of the contents to not just be pretty with house colors and related to the house but also useful? i.e. not just a jar to look at but one someone might take things out of. That's what I'm going for, but I just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

this may sound stupid but the wand im making is sorta small in order for it to fit inside the Jar, will that be a problem?

@MizzKodak Nope, there is no size requirement for the wand. One just has to be in or on the jar. :)

thanks for answering, Im actually done adding things to the jar, i just need to decorate it!

I went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival yesterday and the wand store had a one-of-a-kind mini wand that's just the right size for my jar. I was thrilled!
