I had to laugh when I saw the All Purpose Cleaner, my mother and her mother both used that recipe and so do I. I guess great and thrifty minds think a like and it genuinely is one of the best cleaners out there and I have tried most of them.

Welsch myself, because she's such a prickly, funny kid full of suspicion and cunning and her own weird set of principles. My favorite episode and drawing is probably the one where she becomes an onion, and her father does, too. I loved reading about your experience with Harriet, and about your memories of discovering her while your family was camping. How amazing that you were your sister's own personal children's literature consultant for her thesis, too! And I haven't even gotten to the "trinket..." I wish I could give you a thousand hearts for the Harriet the Spy paper dolls you drew for me--I love paper dolls, and I love Harriet, so this was absolutely the perfect thing to send.
