Response: Hi Florence! I've already messaged you a moment ago to update you, but for others' information, this swap was mailed May 12. My second partner in this swap left a rating on May 24 so thankfully she received hers. I sent to Florence Katie Lau's PC which Katie started in RR #62. We will check with Katie to see if her PC has made it back home yet if nothing else. ... Karla, 11/6/22 (I've been away from SB since end of May) Messaged Katie @littlepinecone to ask if she received her PC home from RR #62... Karla, 11/10/22. UPDATE: No reply from Katie after 3 days though my message has been Read. I have prepared a re-send to Flo and the PO will process it today. I did find photos of the swap from May and have emailed the photos to Flo and Carrii, the coordinator of the swap, to show that I did complete the swap. The photo shows my partners' names on their respective envelopes and postage applied. A second photo indicates the contents of the envelope to Flo, the specific PC I sent to her. My second partner did receive her swap and rated me back in May. ... Karla, 11/14/22 UPDATE: Thank you for upgrading my rating but I must say I'm disappointed that I'm being penalized for lost mail. Yes, technically the first mailing wasn't received and therefore a 3 can be justified, but I sent two photos showing the envelopes from May addressed to both my partners in this swap, with postage even applied, and one photo showing specifically what was sent to Flo. It doesn't make sense I would have prepared a swap completely, postage applied, photographed and then not sent one of them. My other partner in this swap received and rated back in May. By all appearances, Flo's envelope was lost in the delivery process. I'm sorry the original swap wasn't received, but disappointed to be penalized for a swap I completed and could prove I did it with photos ... Karla, 11/17/22
Response: Yes, Sara, I let the ball drop on this one, and I'm so SO sorry! Excuses are not wanted, I'm sure, but just know that when I last said that I was going to get your package off in the mail, I had every intention of doing that. But stuff happened and I didn't get it mailed. I've regretted how I let this exchange just remain unfinished, and I know I disappointed you. Please know that I am back now and you are the first exchange I mailed off as I pick up and run with these exchanges I let drop. I mailed it Priority Mail yesterday (Friday, 8/15/08) so you should have it Monday. I can't adequately express my apologies to you for letting this swap sit on the wayside, but I hope you will forgive me and that the package you receive will help you forget my poor performance in this swap....Karla, 8/16/08 PS: Delivery Confirmation #03063030000323844766
UPDATE: Delivered at 2:11 pm, 8/18 in Sarasota, FL 34236 per USPS.com UPDATED 8/19: No problem about the 3 rating, Sara! I would never have expected a 5 because that would not be an accurate rating. Thank you for updating the rating from a "not received", though. :)
Response: I owe you the last week of the 4 week swap on this one! I'm sorry that I had forgotten about it! I had your gift in a box on my countertop and somehow thought it had gotten mailed! I see it now though and will get it mailed! I'm so sorry, Kim! Karla - 01/19/2008
Response: Shannon, I'm so sorry that I hadn't gotten this swap to you yet. I've been a bit down over many things these past months, however, I'm trying to rally back and take care of the few swaps I failed to get out in May. Your "blue" postcard will be mailed today (Saturday). Please accept my sincere apologies for being so late.
UPDATE: Mailed postcard on Monday, July 29th - Hope it arrives soon! :)
UPDATE: You're most welcome, Shannon! I'm glad it arrived. Yes, I believe in "better late than never" and I'm sure you might agree! :)
Response: She eventually explained her 3 rating by saying I sent a lack of quality items....to which I am left speechless and wondering if she has my swap mixed up with someone else's. I don't know what she expects "quality" is if she thinks what I sent was poor quality. Her "wish list" on the forum was short and vague, and I had a poor selection of items to choose from, but I did manage to send her items from her Wish List (tea cup, children's book, bath items...most specifically). The fine tea cup and saucer was very pretty and in excellent condition (I made sure that it was chip free when I picked it up, and I packaged it carefully); the bath set was brand new and fresh out of its package (I discarded the unnecessary styrofoams used in the original packaging and rewrapped all the bath items, sponge, gel, fizzy, etc. in its original decorative cellophane); the children's book "Zin Zin Went the Violin" was in excellent condition also; and I sent box of ginger/vanilla tea (to go with the tea cup/saucer set); stickers; and a tin of chocolate. An excellent swap package! I don't know what she is used to receiving, but my package was over the $25 max and all in new condition and totally undeserving of being referred to as "lacking in quality". Yes, technically, I was late in sending (6 business days, certainly not "well after the 'send by' date" as she stated), but it's obvious that she is rating me on more than just being tardy. If everything is so lacking in quality for her, I would love for her to return everything because I know many people who would enjoy receiving what was given to her, but I doubt she'd spend the $10 postage I spent to send the items back. What she calls "complaining about the cost of shipping" was mere conversation at the cost of postage these days. I definitely regret having done this swap with her and would not swap with her again. I never received a "thank you" or a mere "I received the package" from the recipient either. :(
